The Center Club is “an exclusive private venue located in the heart of South Coast Metro, next to the prestigious Segerstrom Center for the Arts and on the ground level of the 21-story Center Tower. The club is bordered on three sides by a lovely Japanese water garden, while inside each room resonates with a cultured European sensibility.”
In other words, this place is really fancy schmancy.
Walking around, you can easily feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when Richard Gere took her to one of his swanky work functions.
I did actually come here for a work-related event, so I guess during my visit, I was Richard Gere in a tuxedo on the outside but feeling very much like Julia Roberts in a red dress on the inside.
What I liked most about the place is the art pieces. They have two original sculptures by renowned Swedish artist Caral Milles and California impressionism works as part of their collection. Award winning landscape architect Peter Walker created the water and sculpture gardens.
